About Joseph

Joe obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Kentucky, and is also a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law. Joe finished law school in the top 10% of his class, earned Order of the Coif distinction, was a member of the UK Law Trial Advocacy Board, served on the Journal for Equine, Agricultural, and Natural Resources Law, and worked in the College’s Legal Clinic and the Volunteer Income Tax Clinic. He also has a wide variety of experience in taxation and finance matters.

Joe’s experience before law school includes service as a Volunteer Coordinator with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), where he worked extensively with cases of child abuse and neglect in Fayette County Family Court, and five years as a Legislative Aide for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council. Joe remained active with CASA, where he has served as Board President for CASA of Lexington and current serves in the same role for the Kentucky CASA Network.

Joe brings this background of skills and experience in service to clients in all areas of family law and criminal law. He serves as a court appointed attorney, representing both children and parents in juvenile dependency, neglect, and abuse cases.
