About Lisa

I am a solo practioner, specializing in child law. This includes custody, parenting time, paternity, support, and guardianships.

I graduated with honors from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in 2013, passing the Michigan State Bar on the first try. I was admitted to the Michigan Bar in November of 2014, and have been in private practice ever since. I became interested in child law during my internship in the Washtenaw County Public Defender office. I was working on criminal cases during my internship, but I chose to came back to the Public Defender office as a volunteer attorney in the Child Abuse and Neglect Division.

While researching case law regarding child abuse and neglect, I became interested in child custody and how the law views children based upon different situations. The balance between parental rights and the best interests of the child is very complex, and parents sometimes need help navigating the system. I provide help in that area.
