About Julie
In my first year of practicing law, I was appointed Special Prosecutor in a divorce case in the Domestic Relations Division of Cook County. The defendant requested a trial by jury. I prosecuted it and won on all counts. I was then immediately recruited to a small boutique family law firm to do their complex litigation cases. I continued to litigate complex cases for 13 years, then took some time off to raise my children. Upon my return to work, I discovered Collaborative Divorce, which required a paradigm shift for attorneys to pursue the best interests of the entire family, not just their own client. It has been very rewarding work. I also do Uncontested Divorce, where I only represent one spouse, and draft all documents to finalize the divorce. Both approaches keep the matter out of the court system until everything is signed and agreed to then one party goes to court with me to testify before a judge to get the divorce finalized.
