About Edna

Edna Jones is a native of Durham, North Carolina. She graduated from Southern (Durham) High School then went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina of Charlotte (UNCC) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. While enrolled at UNCC Edna was very active on campus. She partook in various leadership organizations, the Criminal Justice Society, and worked on campus for three years with the Math Science Education Network (MSEN) program. In the Spring of 2009, Edna became a member of the Iota Rho chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

After taking a few years off to join the workforce in Charlotte, Edna made her way back to her hometown to attend law school at North Carolina Central University School of Law. While in law school she became a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Incorporated. She also gained practical experience by participating in numerous clinics, such as: Family Law, Expunctions, and Wills. Edna served on the school’s Pro Bono Council due to her extensive volunteerism with multiple pro bono projects.

Edna now practices in Cabarrus, Gaston, Mecklenburg, Rowan, and Union counties. She practices family law, misdemeanor criminal defense, traffic, small claims, wills/estates, and landlord/tenant law. When Edna is not working she enjoys traveling, vacationing, spending time with her infant niece, and taking personal time. She is currently an active member of Cabarrus Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and loves serving her community.
