Making a Murderer
For 18 years, Steven Avery sat in jail, wrongfully convicted and imprisoned for sexual assault and attempted murder. After being exonerated by DNA evidence, Avery was set free. But two years later, he was arrested, charged, tried and convicted for first-degree intentional homicide of photographer Teresa Halbach. Avery's nephew, Brendan Dassey, was also convicted of her murder, but later released on the grounds of attorney ineptitude. But many believe Avery is innocent.
